AMI Organizational Affirmation

Apostolic Messianic International affirms:

- The full deity and humanity of Yeshua the Messiah.

- We affirm the undivided oneness of God without denying Yeshua's deity and preserving the Shema

- Although we keep the Torah, we do not believe we are saved by keeping the Torah.

- We affirm we are saved by the grace of God through faith in Yeshua, not of ma'asim tovim (good works i.e. keeping Torah).

- We affirm New Testament mikveh: the supernatural new birth of water immersion in Yeshua's name (in any language) for the remission of sins,

- We affirm the immersion in the Holy Ghost (Ruach HaKodesh) with the supernatural, prophetic sign of speaking in unknown languages (human or angelic), i.e. "speaking in tongues"

- We affirm all of the supernatural gifts of the Spirit listed in the New Testament.

- We affirm the Torah is given to Israel and the commandments are directed specifically to the Jewish people

- We affirm that Gentile believers in Yeshua through faith in him now have access to the Mosaic and Abrahamic covenants of promise and are allowed to partake of keeping the commandments in the Torah, but are not commanded in the same way that Israel is

- We affirm the holiness and blessedness of the Torah and its commandments

- We affirm the holiness and blessings that come with keeping the commandments in the Torah

- We affirm that eternal salvation is through the New Covenant only, through faith in Yeshua the Messiah

- We affirm that heaven, hell, and eternal salvation is not ever mentioned nor addressed in the Torah, but rather was a later doctrinal development primarily of Second Commonwealth religious Jews, culminating with the authoritative doctrines of Yeshua and the Apostles

- We affirm that heaven or eternal life is never promised in the Torah nor by the Torah

- We oppose any and all false teachers in the Hebrew Roots, Sacred Name movements etc., who deny the deity of Yeshua or who blaspheme the Holy Ghost.

- We condemn the Kabbalah as part of the occult (Gnosticism, Neo-Platonism, Illuminism)

- We affirm a love for Israel and Jewish people worldwide

- We affirm a pro-Hebrew language attitude and love for the language of the Tanakh and God's people Israel

- We condemn any and all antisemitic, anti-Jewish bigotry and racial or religious prejudice which has been a historic problem with the Gentile church towards Jews and Judaism. We condemn this historic prejudice whoever it comes from including other co-religionists of the Apostolic Pentecostal movement

- While we understand many New Testament believers may never keep the Sabbath we do not condemn them for it

- At the same time, we do condemn a judgmental anti-Sabbath spirit and anti-Sabbath dogma. We acknowledge there is a difference between being non-Sabbath keeping and anti-Sabbath keeping. We condemn the anti-Sabbath attitude

- Again, we affirm that salvation and eternal life is only by grace through faith.
