Scripture tells us to ask, seek, and knock (Matt 7:7). Many times prayer is a process of moving from faith to faith and strength to strength (Rom 1:17). There are places in life when this process is best undertaken with a friend or with those in your sacred community. We are admonished to bear one another's burdens (Gal 6:2) and confess our faults (James 5:16). It is in the safety of our sacred community that we are strengthened (Eph 3:14-21), encouraged, and built up (1 Thess 5:11).
