Apostolic Messianic International does in no way endorse nor is affiliated with Itzhak Shapira, Ahavat Ammi, Yeshivat Shuvu, or any of Shapira’s other related ministries as we consider said ministries to be in false doctrine concerning the Oral Law, Torah Sheba’al Peh, Mesorah, etc.
Any similarities in our respective personal and/or organizational names is purely coincidental and not to be confused which said ministries.
While members of Apostolic Messianic International may practice some of the same traditions as the aforementioned groups, we do not consider them to be binding or necessarily divinely inspired, mandated, or transmitted. Any such practice we declare to be voluntary and subject to one’s interpretation and understanding of the written Word (“objective Torah”) and one’s personal, spiritual leading of the Holy Ghost (“subjective Torah”). In short, we declare these practices to be a matter personal conviction based on one’s own conscience before the Lord.
Therefore we do not teach as doctrine the commandments of men and oppose such teaching. While we still love those involved with brotherly love, we affirm that those who do teach them as such are in Scriptural and doctrinal error (Isaiah 29:13; Matt. 15:19; Mark 7:5-7; Col. 2:20-23; Titus 1:10-16).
“Brothers, even if a man is overtaken in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the Torah of Messiah.” Gal. 6:1-2
“But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife. The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.” II Timothy 2:23-26
“This testimony is true. For this cause, rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.” Titus 1:13-14
