Be a Watchman

From the Rabbi's desk: Be a watchman. Pray faithfully. Intercede for worldwide revival. Prayer changes things and sets angels in motion. Through prayer the lie of enemy can be lifted and every wicked device stopped.

Through prayer the hard heart can be watered and the seared one soothed. It is in prayer that we partner with Hashem. Push past the politics and the antics of a crazy world. See the people and pray for righteousness to be born in their hearts. Continually press into prayer until heaven moves and a hunger for God begins to call all to an altar of repentance.

When biblical knowledge becomes an end unto itself, it usually brings us to arrogance. When we pursue biblical knowledge with the purpose of pursuing godliness, it brings us closer to HaShem. That's why Mussar and discipleship are important. When pursuing Him is our main purpose, the healing and transformation we need flows from the throne, into us, then it reaches out to help others. Our pursuit of God is not a selfish endeavor, it is just as much for our community as it is for us personally.
